Job Description: 

The Marketing and Public Relations Manager is responsible for the successful management and promotion of the Rebecca Rose Events brand. Key management expectations include social media, public relations, community outreach, client relations, and content marketing. You’ll work closely with the ownership team to strategize, and will be responsible for developing and managing consistent brand messaging and elevating the client, creative partner, and public experience at every touchpoint. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with past experience in content management, web analytics tools, pitching press, and social media marketing. The ideal candidate can turn creative ideas into effective tools to promote a consistent, luxury brand message, drive additional streams of revenue, and elevate the brand experience. As the brand’s marketing strategist, you will contribute to the growth of our business by building and maintaining relationships with our clients, industry partners, wedding media, and community contacts, as well as by assisting in the development of alternative revenue streams. Rebecca Rose Events is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The Rebecca Rose Events studio is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in historic Reynolda Village. Our in-house services include comprehensive event planning/design, destination event management, fresh floral design/installation, graphic design, and print production. Primary business hours are Tuesday-Friday 9:30am- 5:30pm. Due to the nature of special events, work hours may fall during non-traditional hours, including weekends, holidays, late nights and early mornings. Each member of our team is expected to work onsite at our events and some travel may be involved.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with our clients, the community, our team, industry partners, and wedding industry/related media

  • Assist in the sales and booking process for Rebecca Rose Events by determining qualified leads, researching potential clients, and devising a strategy with the ownership team

  • Strategize, develop, and pitch ideas to build brand awareness, elevate positioning, and drive additional steams of revenue

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and manage all Rebecca Rose social media accounts

  • Spearhead, maintain and grow content marketing and sales strategies

  • Prepare and edit written materials such as company newsletters, blog posts, employee handbooks, brand marketing materials, web content, and downloadable educational content

  • Develop strategies and tactics to boost company reputation and drive qualified traffic

  • Prepare, manage, and analyze the marketing budget

  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals

  • Manage the client and vendor gifting experience

  • Curate personalize gift items that demonstrate our attention to detail

  • Work with the Creative Director, and the Design and Production Manager to develop and produce packaging and content consistent with the brand

  • Create and maintain a budget for gifting

  • Create SOPs and oversee processes for gift presentation/ packing/ shipping /delivering

  • Maintain a curated stock of branded items

  • Work with the Design and Production Manager to create media tools and branded content to be used in marketing strategies

  • Attend relevant industry events and represent the Rebecca Rose Events brand

  • Curate speaking engagements for the ownership team

  • Cultivate relationships with industry partners and spearhead new vendor outreach

  • Conduct research and present proposals for additional streams of revenue opportunities

  • Plan and assist in the execution of promotional events such as open houses, editorial photo shoots, and milestone events

  • Maintain a thorough and extensive knowledge of our business, the luxury wedding market, and our clients, by staying current on industry news, reviewing client event/design details, and proactively anticipating needs

  • Assist with floral design projects, custom graphic design projects, and business development/marketing projects as needed

  • Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive attitude and professional appearance.You are expected and encouraged to be a brand ambassador for Rebecca Rose Events, even when not at work.You are expected to represent the values of Rebecca Rose Events, and maintain personalized RRE social media accounts for yourself.

  • Assist onsite during wedding and special events, including destination events (requiring travel).This may include:

  • Loading and unloading event materials, ironing linens, moving furniture, setting place settings, and prepping paper goods/design materials

  • Communicating with clients/guests, adherence to event day timeline, coordinating vendor deliveries, directing guests, and onsite troubleshooting

  • Responsible for the success of the event by working with the team and ensuring client satisfaction

  • Event breakdown responsibilities include, but are not limited to onsite/post event cleaning and repackaging event materials, taking inventory and packing linens, disassembling floral arrangements, returning event materials to the RRE studio

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: 

  • 4 year college degree in journalism, PR, marketing or related field preferred

  • 2+ years management experience in marketing and/or PR

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to work on large-term/large-scale strategic brand development, as well as day-to-day tasks

  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically

  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills

  • Understanding and experience with social media for business promotion

  • Experience with email list development and marketing

  • Project and budget management skills

  • Responds well under pressure of deadline

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others

  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize

  • Quick and enthusiastic learner

  • Reliable transportation to and from work and access to run errands, as needed

  • Experience working within a luxury market
