Jessica & Zack's Knoxville Wedding featured on Southern Weddings

We are thrilled to finally share Jessica and Zack’s beautiful Tennessee wedding. This gorgeous spring affair will always have a special place in our hearts for so many reasons. First and foremost, Jessica is one of the very first RRE student interns (even before Becca and I became partners!). Jessica is an amazing industry partner and we consider her family after graduating from our internship program. When Jessica reached out to tell us she was engaged to Zack we were overjoyed and delighted to say YES to being her design and planning team!

Jessica has an amazing booming career after starting her own business, Simply Jessica Marie. We are so incredibly proud of her! Her wedding day showcased her most stunning and intimate designs. It was so much fun to work with her throughout the process, listen to her think, help her brainstorm and work together to build the plan. Jessica chronicled her journeys through wedding planning on Southern Weddings Blog. You can read all of them here: The Proposal, Choosing a Wedding Planner, Choosing a Wedding Photographer, Shopping for a Gown, Knoxville Wedding Venues, Attire and Colors, The Registry, The Details, The Cake, The Flowers, Bridal Style, Wedding Week.

Working with Jessica and Zack over the course of the year was so much fun!  Becca and I did what we do best, I focused on logistics and Becca focused on design and we worked together to make sure everything would come together seamlessly on the wedding day. That’s our recipe for success, tried and true! There was only one small wrinkle in our plan... weighing in at 7lbs, 2oz. Piper Rose Atchison was born on Monday, April 18th, just 3 weeks before Jessica and Zack’s wedding.

After an emergency c-section, there was no way a new mom and baby were making the journey to a destination wedding for a weekend filled with event production. Despite the new baby and surgery, Becca really wanted to still be a part of Jessica’s wedding as she had been such a big part of our company. Becca decided to design the bouquets for Jessica and all the bridesmaids. I arranged for two of our team members to stay behind and drive them to Knoxville the day prior to the wedding. The rest of our team packed up and hit the road in advance and for the first time ever I left without my partner in crime. Even through Becca and I are always prepared to fill in for the other person in case of emergencies, I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I missed her that weekend! She and I facetimed and laughed as our team designed the centerpieces and set up onsite.

Jessica and Zack’s wedding was filled with so much joy, laughter and happiness! Be sure to hop on over to Southern Weddings Blog to read Jessica's beautiful story. She tells it best, so we'd love for you to read about the wedding in her own words. In the meantime, enjoy these beautiful images by Perry Vaile and be sure to watch the film by Casey & Kristin
