A Bridal Luncheon at Home

On the prettiest summer day in June, we produced a charming little backyard soirée to celebrate the start of Peyton’s wedding weekend in Winston-Salem. Though her parents live here in town, none of their guests did, so it was a treat to host Peyton’s bridesmaids, and close loved ones at the family’s home under a tent in the backyard for a casual afternoon bridal luncheon.

Perhaps the best part? Unbeknownst to anyone else, our photographer, Mike Cassimatis, conspired with us to surprise all of the women by flying in early so that he could be there to capture the luncheon. Let’s have a little look at the party, shall we?

We had such fun surprising Peyton with all of the details. Though she knew about the luncheon, we worked diligently with her mother to create the look and feel for this party that we knew Peyton would love.

One of our favorite surprises to create was the set of custom fabric napkins, which we had produced using the watercolor artwork that our own designer, Allison, painted for the occasion. After the luncheon, we were able to launder and press the napkins to send to Peyton for her and Danny to use in their own dining room for future dinner parties.

Knowing that Peyton *loved* the color coral but it was never Danny’s favorite, we had intentionally kept it’s use to a minimum for the wedding to serve only as an unexpected pop of occasional color. So we took the opposite approach for this ladies-only luncheon and leaned into those scrumptious watermelon hues big time. It was charming, cheerful, and perfectly feminine.

So thankful for the team that helped us pull off these punchy little surprise party details:
