Emma & Mark’s Tented Wedding in Reynolda Village

We first began planning Emma and Mark’s fall wedding in Winston-Salem in 2019, as we initially prepared for a November 2020 celebration, and then postponed to ultimately produce the event in November, 2021. It felt incredible to finally be able to safely host all 200 guests for this beautiful garden ceremony and tented evening reception, especially after more than two years of anticipation! Enjoy a look back, courtesy of photographer, Heather Beerman.

We included custom watercolor artwork of all the flowers we would later incorporate into the wedding floral design on Emma and Mark’s invitation suite. It was a fun way to introduce the color palette and give a little preview of what was yet to come.

The weekend kicked off with an intimate rehearsal dinner at the Graylyn Estate, where Heather snuck in some time to photograph Emma and Mark before they joined their guests inside for cocktails, dinner, and toasting.

Following the rehearsal dinner, the family joined all of the other wedding guests for a casual welcome party at The Barn at Reynolda Village.

And then we barely blinked and it was already the wedding day!

Emma looked absolutely exquisite in her Vera Wang gown, which featured sleeves that he wore her their garden ceremony which took place in the crisp fall air, and then later removed for the tented reception.

The greenhouse in Reynolda Gardens served as our ceremony backdrop, and we placed Emma’s family’s chuppah structure on the terrace, then covered it with smilax vine. It was simple, and striking - the perfect setting for Emma and Mark’s wedding ceremony, which incorporated beautiful Jewish wedding traditions.

After the ceremony, musicians led the guests just down a small hill to the tent for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and more entertainment. We created a special section of the tent for cocktail hour, which featured lounge settings, bars, and cocktail tables, that transitioned beautifully in the final moments of daylight to a late night party area.

And of course, after cocktail hour, we revealed a much larger tent area for dinner, dancing, and plenty of space for a traditional hora.

It was such a fun evening, and it was an absolute joy to produce such a special celebration for two people we adore so much!
