A Few Wedding Tabletop Ideas
This past Saturday morning, I found myself in our studio alone with a bunch of sample rental chargers, china dinner collections, flatware collections, fabric samples, and fresh blooms after a design session with some of our clients on Friday. Since time like that is rare, I pushed myself to make the most of it, and purposefully set aside my ever-present to-do list in order to force some time for me to just be creative for the sake of being creative.
Though creativity is my livelihood, the reality is that between being a mother and operating a business, time like this is exceptionally rare. Creativity is reserved for our clients, event design projects, and other necessary entrepreneurial goals. But I know myself well enough to know that unscheduled time to create art is so valuable, and it makes me a better artist.
So on Saturday morning, I spent a couple of hours with these beautiful tabletop materials, my iphone, a couple of podcasts, and I just played. It was so good for my soul!
