What 40 years tells us: The *Real* Value of Hiring a Wedding Planner

Our clients are genuine, authentic and gracious hosts when it comes to planning weddings and milestone celebrations. After 40+ combined years of experience, we’ve seen our passion in events be validated time and time again.

Beyond the mental attention and expertise required to pull a gathering of this stature off without a hitch, there’s a common theme you may notice in the testimonial quotes  below; trust. Trust that true experts are working to make their vision a reality. Trust in a team that will protect their investment, and advocate for their needs in the most complex of situations. Trust that the final experience will surprise and delight guests. Driven by  intentionality, original artistry and thoughtfulness, our task is to offer clients an exceptionally cohesive design experience. Believe us when we say, your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event that is so emotionally significant, it is worthy of immense celebration and the right planner to be there every step of the way. But, you don’t need to just take our word for it!

“They’re Always a Few Steps Ahead”

We focus on logistics and aesthetics with equal focus and priority. We believe function is just as important as aesthetics. We will never sacrifice one for the other and will never overlook or dilute the importance of this synergy. Because unexpected circumstances will sometimes arise, with a trusted partner you won’t need to troubleshoot. Your planning team will be so well-versed in how to adjust plans on the fly without disrupting the entire experience. And often, our ‘Plan B’ feels just as meaningful, beautiful, and logistically sound as ‘Plan A.’

“We Didn’t Have A Worry in the World.”

Our goal is to provide peace of mind during the entire planning process so you can actually participate in your celebration, and be present.  We believe that hiring the right team of creatives and vendors is where the magic exists. Without that perfect puzzle of talent, things can feel disjointed and unorganized. That’s why working with a planning firm who has decades of knowledge and deep-rooted industry relationships is an asset you can’t replace. It means getting an exclusive date booked with that highly sought-after photographer, or being able to fly in your favorite 12-piece band without worrying about coordinating tricky travel arrangements. We are only as strong as our team, so we take special care in selecting just the right players!

In the past we have sourced vendor partners local to the destinations we work in, but we’ve also encountered plenty of circumstances where the right choice is to bring in a trusted production partner who knows and understands our high standards for quality, stylistic integrity, and client service, even if they aren’t local to the area. For example, when we traveled to rural New Hampshire for Sarah and Jake’s wedding, we vetted a number of options and ultimately chose to work with a local tent installation partner, but we brought our trusted lighting and audio-visual production crew from NC for that job.

As they worked to install the tent lighting, they also helped to hang our greenery simultaneously. They understood our creative directives and knew how to hide the mechanics. Over the many years of working together we’ve developed a creative synergy that ensures the technical components of lighting, power, audio equipment etc. are always in sync with the design plan in such a way that they enhance the overall effect but never take center stage. Nobody wants to see cords, hooks, zip ties, or industrial grade tape in places where flowers, architecture, and fabric are expected.

In the end, we always work together create an event you can feel proud to share with your loved ones.

“A Full Leap Past Anything We Ever Imagined.”

In all areas of event design and production, we strive for a level of authenticity, effortlessness and the capacity to wow. We  believe no two weddings should ever be quite alike and our portfolio provides proof of that philosophy in action as it spans a diverse set of stylistic preferences. It’s an enormous strength of ours to have in-house graphic design, floral design, and production capabilities - this gives us the ability to make synergistic decisions. Whether your style is timeless or perhaps more transitional, the concept phase is where we will be able to explore what’s possible. Our advice? Approach that process with an open mind. You may be surprised that the design plans  may be something you hadn’t considered. Trust that there will be refinements in the direction so that it still feels unique to you, but also gives your guests something extraordinary.

A final thought to leave you with is this; your wedding should bring you joy, and leave a lasting impression in your memory. That’s what has brought us to this field - the pleasure of creating celebrations that honor all parts of your past, present and future days together.
