Position: Director of Floral Design

Rebecca Rose Events is a full-service event planning, design, and production firm based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, serving destinations worldwide. We design and produce exceptional weddings and social events for discerning clients who value the timeless art and beauty of celebration.

We are seeking an experienced floral designer to join our creative team. This is a senior-level, hands-on design role that blends floral artistry with full-scale event design and production. The ideal candidate will bring a refined eye, strong design sensibility, and extensive experience producing elevated weddings in a variety of destination settings.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

client project management & ONSITE EVENT EXECUTION 
  • Conceptualize and execute bespoke event designs in collaboration with the creative director and the design team;

  • Lead all aspects of floral design - from concept and recipe creation through sourcing, production, and on-site installation;

  • Develop and present comprehensive floral budget estimates to the creative director and to clients, providing accurate tracking, and ongoing stewardship throughout the planning process; 

  • Create and manage detailed planning/design timelines to guide clients through critical deadlines, and manage internal team processes to ensure the timely completion of tasks and procurement deadlines;

  • Participate in client calls and meetings including full-day creative sessions, design presentations, and planning sessions – whether in-person or virtual, depending on the clients’ needs;

  • Work with the operations manager to maintain studio organization, track floral inventory, and oversee ordering of floral product and materials;

  • Collaborate with the design team to support the presentation of comprehensive event design plans and drive revenue through RRE’s in-house creative capabilities and offerings, including but not limited to floral design, graphic design/print production, prop rental, linen rental, etc.;

  • Collaborate with logistics and production teams to ensure cohesive, detail-driven execution;

  • Manage floral production and design installations on-site for multi-day destination wedding events;

  • Stay informed on evolving trends in luxury floral and event design;

  • Assist the ownership team with sourcing freelancers and overseeing floral staffing schedules.

ideal qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional floral design experience with an emphasis on full-scale wedding installations.

  • Experience designing for destination weddings across varying climates, venues, and logistical contexts.

  • Demonstrated expertise in large-scale installations, floral mechanics, and high-end product sourcing.

  • Strong creative vision, spatial awareness, and understanding of color, scale, and texture in immersive event environments.

  • Knowlege and awareness of floral varieties and product seasonality.

  • Polished communication and presentation skills; comfortable interfacing directly with clients and creative partners.

  • Ability to manage multiple active design projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.

  • Physical stamina and willingness to work long hours during event installation periods - including weekends.

  • Comfort with travel – for multi-day events and site visits.

  • Accustomed to working in a team environment and collaborating with other creative partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • You must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. of weight.

  • You must have a valid driver’s license, Real ID and/or passport. (If you do not have a valid passport, you must apply for one before the start of employment.)

  • Candidates living in or willing to relocate to Winston-Salem, North Carolina preferred. Remote/hybrid candidates will be considered within a 120-mile radius of Winston-Salem but must be willing to commute to the RRE office in Winston-Salem, as needed for client meetings, team meetings, and events, and have reliable transportation.
