Fall Wedding Color Trends

I'm often hesitant to publish anything about color trends, because I wholeheartedly believe that trends shouldn't dictate decisions when it comes to meaningful event design for your wedding. That said, I think the current state of affairs in the world of wedding design is truly an exciting one because as trends go... right now, the sky is the limit!

According to Pantone's 2018 Fall Color Trend Report, vibrant color is already back in a big way. Read more over here on Elle Decor and you'll see what I mean.

There's never been a better time for adventurous color-loving souls to express themselves in wedding design. Gone are the days of feeling the pressure to stick to traditional autumn palettes (think reds, oranges, yellows and browns - all the colors that look lovely on tree leaves as they turn but don't always strike the right chord with everyone for every purpose.)

A few things I see coming this season...

  • Fall color palettes that bring festive greens and blues into the mix. Hint: Stay tuned for one of our upcoming projects in November that will keep true to this idea.

  • Combos of wine tones with more punchy dark neutrals (black, slate grey, navy)

  • Palettes that ditch the tradition altogether and ignore the colors of fall foliage as if pumpkins and falling yellow leaves don't even exist.

It's all fair game and it's all great. My best advice: select the colors that bring you joy and hire a capable designer to help you round them out with thoughtful enhancements and details.
