Lauren & Emanuel's Wedding in Virginia Beach, Virginia

FirstLook-35.jpg

Friends, it's hard to believe that so much time has already passed since we spent the most beautiful wedding weekend in Virginia Beach, Virginia celebrating Lauren and Emanuel last year! L & E's wedding was one for the books! So much fun, and so many beautiful, meaningful details! We spent over a year working with these two and Lauren's sweet family and we miss them terribly! Enjoy these beautiful photos from our incredibly talented industry friend, Lucy Cuneo

Right from the start, Lauren was able to communicate a clear vision of what she loved and wanted for her wedding day... a modern take on the look of the era of Marie Antoinette. She loves all things French! Naturally, this meant a pastel color palette of delicate pinks, yellows, lavender, and green, with some deeper tones of french blue and a raspberry/coral. We knew we needed an abundance of garden roses and organic style floral designs fit for our bride's love of the gardens of Versailles.

It was fitting that Lauren selected this beautiful gown by French designer, Monique Lhuillier. Très chic!

Since the wedding took place in Lauren's hometown, it was such a special treat for her and her girls to be able to get ready at her childhood home. As soon as we saw the exquisite gardens and landscaping, we knew it was also the perfect location for Lauren and Emanuel to have their first look.

The ceremony took place at the historic First Presbyterian Church not far from the oceanfront, downtown in Virginia Beach. Approximately 250 of Lauren and Emanuel's friends and family gathered to witness them exchange vows and pledge to support them before everybody ventured over to the Princess Anne Country Club for cocktail hour.

Once inside the club, guests discovered a warm, welcoming environment set for an exquisite plated dinner reception. We loved designing this space with textures galore, exquisite gold accent details, and abundant fresh flowers.

After cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, guests were seated for a lovely dinner experience, followed by toasts, cake, and dancing. So much dancing!!

L & E, we love you both! This was a highlight of our year last year and it was such a special honor to be a part of your wedding celebration and get to know your family. We hope it's not the last time we find ourselves working in Virginia Beach! Cheers to you two and the beautiful marriage you've built together. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
