Wedding Design at the The McAlister-Leftwich House in Greensboro

Earlier this month we were invited to design the wedding reception space for the showcase event at the beautiful McAlister-Leftwich House in Greensboro. This was such a special honor and a fun project, and we’re excited to share a little recap with some gorgeous film photography by Hillary Muelleck.

If you’re on the hunt for a venue in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, this recently restored historic property is a true gem and worth a look.

The ownership team did an incredible job with the restoration, and has created such a gorgeous, inviting space with a flawless neutral aesthetic that works wonderfully for social events.

In the Gant room, we created a sample reception setup with a long estate table set for sixteen guests, as well as additional dinner seating at a round table.

We partnered with Greenhouse Picker Sisters to incorporate their upholstered Allie Chairs because we’re firm believers that dinner seating can and should be beautiful and comfortable. Whenever possible, an upgrade in chair style is a luxury worth a little extra investment.

The table linens were provided by Nuage Designs and we selected their Rose Velluto tablecloths, which have the loveliest texture (especially perfect for fall/winter events!) and paired them with their Lace Elizabeth Snow napkins, which have a delicate lace border.

Tabletop elements included clear glass chargers, linen white and soft blush china Hudson plates, Hampton gold flatware, and this Pure stemware, all provided by our partners at Party Reflections.

We created a variety of fresh floral arrangements using burgundy ranunculus, quicksand roses, blush astilbe, white stock, eucalyptus, plumosa fern, and camellia foliage, and pulled from our vast inventory of vessels and props to include gold taper candlesticks with glass hurricanes.

Each place setting included a menu card, and a personalized place card. We included velvet blush ribbon and a custom hand dripped wax seal on each place card and partnered with Caitlin at Happy Tines to have her hand letter each card in gold metallic ink. Her calligraphy is beautiful!!

This lounge setting, including the soft seating, coffee/end tables, rug, and pillows is from Greenhouse Picker Sisters and it was perfect in this space!

Special thanks to Jeanne at Artsy Cakesy for a fabulous (and delicious!!) dessert spread. She also made the macarons that we included at each place setting on the dinner tables.

This showcase event was a fun way to kick off the new year and we’re so excited about all that 2019 holds for our team! We’re still accepting one more wedding for this calendar year for full-service planning/design/production and have begun booking dates for 2020. If you’re interested in working together, get in touch and let’s chat!

Cheers!
