Vendor Partnership Series | Working with Rental Companies

It takes a village!

Behind every smooth running wedding you'll find an army of vendor partners committed to teamwork and sharing a common goal: the ultimate happiness of the newlyweds, their family, and their guests.  Our partnership series dives a little deeper into some of these best of the best behind-the-scenes soldiers.  If you missed any of our previous posts, be sure to catch up about photographers, wedding venues, musical entertainment, hair and makeup artists, calligraphers and videographers.

Today I'm talking rental companies. Unless your family lineage includes English royalty, you probably don't own 100+ place settings and a commercial dish sink to provide for dinner service at your own wedding.  You need not fear because there are plenty of amazing rental options available, no matter your budget or style preference.  Here's a peak at two of our favorites and why we're such big fans.

Eventworks Rentals

Why RRE loves them: Tents, staging, dance floors, lounge furniture, catering equipment, tables, and chairs, as well as above basic china, glassware and flatware can all be found in the Eventworks catalogue. This team provides such an amazing range of products and outstanding customer service from order to delivery.  Best yet, their approach to serviceware is not that of a typical rental company.  They are constantly introducing new and interesting pieces in large quantities.  Gold flatware, one-of-a-kind chargers, and colored glassware... they've got that and sailcloth tents all under the same roof! This is definitely a go to rental team for rental orders of all shapes and sizes.

Where all do you serve? In 2010, EventWorks opened its first 10,000 square foot warehouse in Charleston, SC.  Three short years later, EventWorks outgrew it’s first home and moved into a 45,000 warehouse. Today, EventWorks has three locations: Charleston, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC and Savannah, GA.  The Charleston location is proud to serve Kiawah Island, Edisto Island, Mount Pleasant, Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, Johns Island and Summerville.   The Myrtle Beach location services Florence, Murrells Inlet, Georgetown, Conway, Sumter and Darlington. The Savannah location delivers to Pooler, Tybee Island, Richmond Hill, Bluffton, Beaufort, Hilton Head Island, St Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, Statesboro, and Hinesville.  EventWorks is also happy to discuss delivery and travel to areas outside any of these usual markets as well!

We've had the joy of working with Eventworks on several destination weddings outside of their typical service area and they have been incredible partners!

Casa De Perrin

Why RRE loves them: Our clients dream in colors, textures and patterns- not just white and cream!  Our team's approach to design is to engage the 5 senses, and what's more engaging than sitting at your dinner table right before dinner service as the aromas of the meal waft through the air with a beautifully colored place setting like you’ve never seen before. Who says china has to be white and flatware has to be silver? Casa de Perrin offers the most unique options for china, glassware and flatware in quantities sufficient to service a wedding.  It's like having a pattern fit for the Queen of England without having to purchase it all yourself (unless you want to)!

How did Casa De Perrin get started? Diane and Josh dreamed of their wedding complete with 5 courses served on beautiful china with antique flatware but couldn’t find a rental option to fit their vision.  Diane spent 13 months prior to the wedding at flea markets, estate sales and antique malls until they had enough pieces for their wedding.  After their wedding, Josh and Diane were asked if they would be interested in selling their pieces to various vendors who helped bring their wedding vision to life.  In that moment, it became clear to the couple that the market was truly lacking unique rental pieces.  The newlyweds decided to start a rental company for the same reason they started collecting pieces in the first place, to provide unique and interesting tabletop options. Casa de Perrin is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and is now the country’s leading luxury tabletop curation brand.  The Casa de Perrin collections are now available to purchase, as well as rent.

A special thanks to all our vendors who continue to inspire and work seamlessly behind-the-scenes!   Be sure to come back next week to read about more of these amazing partners!
