Gratitude Series: Travel

Some days I have to pinch myself because it doesn’t seem real that I get to wake up and do what I love every day.  Oh boy, what a journey it was to get here but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!

Each year, our business takes us to some incredible places for some incredible people.  In 2017, our team ventured to Virginia Beach, Highlands, Asheville, Raleigh and Nashville, North Carolina.  We also got to stay closer to home for a few projects and work at Graylyn Estate, The Barn at Reynolda Village, Winmock at Kinderton, the UNCSA Stevens Center, a local private residence, and Medaloni Cellars.

Traveling to destinations and working in places we’ve never been before is just the bee’s knees.  Our team dreams in color and we get inspiration from new places.  I’m so thankful for the opportunity to travel as a team. Things can get crazy on the road but that kind of crazy is just the best! As I shared in a previous post:

It’s lucky that our team likes to laugh, because when we produce a destination event we set up a mobile office, floral design/production studio, and living quarters onsite, wherever we may be with a pretty large team.  When you, eat, sleep, live, work, and play with your co-workers 24/7, you really get to know them!  Picture this… you have me in the early morning hours with crazy Seinfield “Kramer hair” by the coffee pot, barely functioning, in sleep deprived fits of laughter looking for the cargo van keys in a sea of flowers covering the kitchen island, while simultaneously apologizing for swearing and trying to eat a breakfast banana.  That pretty much sums up our #rreshenanigans.

If you want to read more check out Destination Weddings.  You can see pretty photos from some of our destination work in our portfolio (so much more to see soon too!)
