A Day in the Studio with Kristin

No two days in the Rebecca Rose studio are the same. That’s part of the fun of working here! Our days are filled with anything from creative sessions with clients, to site visits at beautiful venues, to phone calls with vendors all over the country, coordinating rentals.

There is never a shortage of coffee, linen swatches, paper samples, and printer problems (but let’s not talk about this one). There are always things to do, but we make sure we have a good time while getting them done.

Each of us here in the office has our own tasks that we handle on a daily basis, but they all connect and we depend on each other to succeed. While Becca is working on the creative elements for a wedding, Betsy is finalizing the budget, which tells Becca how much she is able to spend on florals and rentals for that wedding. I am doing a lot of research on the back end to find the best and most cost effective rental options, which I then send over to Becca so she can include them in her design plans. All the while, Brittany is doing all sorts of things to keep the studio running smoothly! One of these elements cannot work without the other. That is how our team functions best and most effectively.

While that is a look at how the team as a whole operates, here is a behind-the-scenes look at a typical day for me, an Event Coordinator for Rebecca Rose Events.

First things first, I start off my day with a big ole cup of coffee (if you couldn’t tell from reading my bio last week, I am a huge fan of coffee). Some of the various tasks that I handle on any given day include researching rentals options for our clients, communicating with vendors about details for a wedding, and placing rental orders for any number of upcoming events. I help Betsy with floor plans, timelines, and budgets, but also will jump in and help Becca prepare a set of bridesmaids’ bouquets for an upcoming wedding.

In addition to these tasks, I also am the Event Day Management coordinator for our sister brand, Rebecca Rose Creative. Anytime a client hires us for Event Day Management, I work with them starting the month before their wedding to make sure all the details are aligned and everything is ready to go for their wedding day. Together, we create a comprehensive timeline to distribute to their vendors. I want to make sure that the month leading up to their wedding is not stressful and they are able to rely on me to take care of all those last minute details that pop up.

Once the wedding day comes, our team is there from beginning to end. We oversee all deliveries to ensure that they arrive on time, are brought to the correct spot, and are exactly what we ordered. We check the linens, place settings, and floral arrangements to make sure they are in perfect condition and flawlessly placed. We want to allow the bride, groom, bridal party, and families to relax and enjoy the day. We communicate with the other vendors throughout the day to make certain the timeline is followed. But most importantly, we want to make sure that the wedding is the perfect celebration of a more perfect marriage to come.

There is always something going on in the RRE studio. But rather than just take my word for it, you should stop by! We would love to see you!

Kristin
